The offshore platform is a kind of large-scale engineering structure at sea. Its main structure has been in the environment of salt spray, cold weather and seawater for a long time, and has been eroded by seawater and sea creatures, resulting in violent electrochemical corrosion. The anti-corrosion process of the offshore platform can only be carried out by manual high-culture or sandblasting process, and the efficiency of manual rust removal is slow and often fails to meet the treatment requirements of the painted surface. Moreover, dust and suspended matter are very important during the operation of the sand blasting process, which has a serious impact on the environment and equipment on the platform, and neither of them can remove the soluble corrosion protection business brought by the surface salt spray.

Traditional corrosion protection methods for offshore platforms involve manual surface preparation and sandblasting, which are slow and often fail to meet the coating surface requirements. Moreover, sandblasting generates siginificant dust and suspended particles during operation, causing serious effects on the environment and the equipment on the platform. Both methods also fail to remove soluble corrosion brought by salt spray.

Our company has introduced high-pressure water jet technology into offshore platform projects to address a series of corrosion issues in the oil industry. Since 2019, we have successfully completed corrosion protection projects for offshore platforms such as Xijiang 23-1, Panyu 34-1, Panyu 30-1, Enping 24-2, Xijiang 24-3, and others. We have also undertaken the mud removal and corrosion protection of underwater pipe and drill rod for the N5 platform drilling.
